"Do you feel it?"-A tree-hugger's fear

Global warming is the new danger everybody's afraid of, besides terror and recession. Environmentalists shout, cry and strain their vocal cords to utter two words "go green" all day long. But nobody cares two hoots about it, and go on throwing plastic everywhere or burn gallons of fuel for speed.

A true environment lover is probably someone who pesters us with questions. About our self-consciousness.

Perhaps "go green" is a simple two-word replacement for the harm we cause to ourselves and how careless we are for ourselves and the rest. Perhaps this is what they really mean:

"Hey there. I must say, you are damn lucky. You got your parents, friends, family, everything you want. You are happy."

"If your ears are perfect, can you hear these wailing tiger cubs, who lost their mother to hunting?"
 "Do you feel it?"

"If you think the world has plenty of safe food, can you save this dying vulture? His food has poisoned him."

"Do you feel it?"

"If you think damage is nothing, can you help this stranded polar bear get back to his home?"

"Do you feel it?"

"If you think cutting trees is good, then make a home for these shelterless birds. They lost their home to deforestation."

"Do you feel it?"

"If you think technology can save lives, can you stop the world dying from the UV rays seeping through the ozone layer?"
 "Do you feel it?"

""it", the harm you are causing to the world's way of life?"

"Do you feel an urge to prevent tearing apart babies from families?"

"Do you feel an urge to provide home to the innocent prey?"

"Do you feel some remorse for the damage you caused to planet Earth?"

"Do you feel that it's time to act, before it's too late?"

"Do you feel it?"
